No. While many unions in Saskatchewan are saying the same things we are, unions are conducting their own campaigns, such as Stand Up for Saskatchewan.
We are our own organization, making decisions at popular assemblies held on a regular basis. Unions run their own locals and umbrella organizations.
We are self-funding our own campaigns out of pocket, passing the hat around at meetings, and so forth. To date, some participants in Stop the Cuts who are union members have asked their locals to make minor solidarity donations, to pay for some advertising on Facebook.
We do not oppose arms-length funding from unions, individuals, or even businesses affected by cuts. Anyone who is in solidarity with our goals may donate to us.
